Oklahoma City Thunder fired up to finish off Denver Nuggets in Game 4
The Oklahoma City Thunder hopes to win and finish off the Denver Nuggets when they visit the latter in Game 4 of their best of seven National Basketball Association playoff series on Monday evening.Holding a 3-0 lead in their playoff match-up, the Oklahoma City Thunder is all fired up to defeat the home-team Denver Nuggets in Game 4 and finally advance in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
The Oklahoma City Thunder had been successful against the Denver Nuggets due to their superb offence and stone-wall defense in these series.The Oklahoma City Thunder had also been successful against the Denver Nuggets due to the strong plays of its superstars young point-guard Russell Westbrook and NBA scoring champion and silky smooth forward Kevin Durant.
To defeat the home-team Denver Nuggets four straight this year, both Westbrook and Durant need to once again score big-time for their team come game-time.Aside from Westbrook and Durant, the Thunder big-men consisting of power-forward Serge Ibaka and center Kendrick Perkins also need to score, rebound and block shots more to defeat the Thunder.
The Thunder are poised to roll past the Nuggets in Game 4 all they have to do is play with 110 percent energy and come up with a good game-plan and execute it well come game-time.The home-team Nuggets for its part had their backs on the wall coming into Game 4.
Losing three straight games to the Thunder is painful for the Nuggets, but the team is now ready to forget their pain and just focus on winning Game 4 for the sake of their fans and franchise.Nuggets coach George Karl said they may be down but definitely not out and ready to bite again in Game 4.
Karl said his team will fight it in Game 4 to extend the series and salvage some pride for his team.To bring down the Thunder, the Nuggets need to play tough on defense in 48 minutes and do their best to limit the point production of both Westbrook and Durant in this game.
The Nuggets also need to get solid scoring from the rest of the team to defeat the Thunder and extend their series to Game 5.The Nuggets might be facing a tough odds on winning in this game but they can still prevail if they learn to play with more heart and determination on game day.
